May 2005

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the love of Jesus! I am excited to write to you this newsletter because so many wonderful things are happening. God continues to open doors all across the nations for World Outreach. Great harvest is taking place in many nations, and with the harvest come new challenges. Many new workers have been released into the field without adequate preparation. We must help them develop in their walk with Jesus.

In harvest time for fruit crops one must act quickly. If the fruit is harvested too early the fruit is not fully ripe and the sugar content is low, making the fruit tart or sour. Once the fruit is fully ripe time is of essence. It will not keep for long without refrigeration. And ripe fruit is easily bruised. Therefore is must be taken from the tree quickly and brought to market. If the fruit is left on the tree after becoming ripe it will drop to the ground and be lost.

It is for this reason that when great harvest takes place in a nation that many workers are thrust into the harvest to gather the fruit lest it be lost. Often times the demand for workers is great and the supply is small. This creates a situation that any that will gather the fruit before it is lost is received with gratitude.

However, after a time these workers soon find that the ministry to disciple and mature new believers is beyond their own development. The work becomes shallow and the presence of the Lord begins to lift. Due to a lack of good understanding of the Bible many strange doctrines begin to creep in.

This is when the church needs spiritual fathers to arise. As Paul wrote to the Corinthian church:

1 Corinthians 4:15
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
In this generation we have a great need for spiritual fathers that are able to bring direction to the church, open the heart to fresh encounters with the Lord, release the supernatural power of God, release fresh revelation that will mature the church and enable the church to finish the Father's work.

There are three things about this ministry we should note.

The first is that God never gives up His original decision to bring His people to spiritual fullness.

The second is that, if His people, in general, move away from His intention, He raises up vessels and ministries both to bring that intention into view, and, as far as possible, to recover His people to it.

And the third thing is that those vessels and ministries have a peculiar and particular history under His hand. They are in a peculiar way governed by the purpose for which they are raised up.

God is using World Outreach to keep the vision of God's intention to bring His people to spiritual fullness before the church.

Many today need a fresh encounter with the presence of God. There is a need for fresh revelation, and a heart to seek after the Lord.

Thank you for your financial support. Without this we could not go to these nations. I continue to pray for each of our partners who are giving to this ministry. I have made a covenant with the Lord for a special blessing for each one that contributes to this ministry. Expect God, He is faithful.

It is my prayer for our Father, our God, the one who said "Let there be light," would shine into our hearts at this time "To give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." It is that face that I am seeking now. I seek His Face. I thank God that the veil is taken away. I thank Him that the heaven is open. I thank Him that the Holy Spirit has come. I pray for grace to make this a time of entering into the GOOD OF THAT OPENED HEAVEN, THE anointing of the Holy Spirit, AND the revelation of the Father in the Face of Jesus Christ.

BREAKTHROUGH IN BAHRAIN
Last month God amazingly brought a wonderful breakthrough for the youth of Bahrain. In our meetings in this nation we called the church to reach out to the youth in the power of the Holy Spirit. God has been visiting the church in power ever since our meetings in the 2 trips we have recently made to this country.

In a series of special meetings over 100 young men and women gave their lives to Jesus. This is a first for the nation. In addition families were reunited and great healings took place. The impact was so powerful that the leading newspapers ran reports about how God moved and brought deliverance to young people. What a great witness for the Lord!

In addition, a family flew in from Saudi Arabia just to attend the services. God continues to bring fruit from our missions in this region. God is visiting the Islamic nations and a great harvest is about to be reaped.

NIGERIA
It will be my joy in the first part of June to be ministering in Nigeria. This great African nation has been in revival for a few years now. Tremendous harvest has taken place.

I would like to give a little background. In 2003 I was asked to minister in an all-Nigerian prayer meeting for the national elections. Many Nigerian churches from across the Atlanta region gathered to pray all night. During this prayer meeting God revealed to me a pattern. As elections had been held in Nigeria periodically since 1953 as war always followed. It did not matter who won the election, it ended in a coup, a war, and great trouble. However God spoke to me that this would be the Jubilee Year for Nigeria and that the election would take place without a war following for the first time in 50 years. We prayed through the night and when the election took place we rejoiced to see that no war followed. A spiritual breakthrough had taken place. Nigeria would not be the same.

Now I am going to the national capitol of Nigeria, the city of Abuja, to ministered in an outreach Crusade and Leadership Conference. God has a word of direction for this strategic time in the nation.

It is time for spiritual fathers to arise. It is time for the Church to lead the nation in developing young men in business, removing corruption in government, opening opportunities for young people, adopting the orphans to raise for Christ. It is time for the Church to create ways to train and develop the next generation of young people to have a life without the hardships common to the nation. It is time for the Church to be able to demonstrate how to love as Jesus loved, and to bring the true healing power of God to the Islamic people in the nation.

Please be praying with me for this wonderful opportunity to join my African brethren in reaching for these goals of the Kingdom in Nigeria.

For each of our partners that give, you have become a lifeline for these students, their churches and the future of their nations. Most of our students are already pastoring churches. Thank you in behalf of each one of these great leaders and a very special thank you from Janice and me.

AFRICAN TOUR
South Africa
This August there is going to be a first ever Conference Worldwide for the expatriate Indian Christian community. Over 2000 leading Indian pastors from outside of India will gather in Durban, South Africa for this conference.

I will be speaking the evening sessions in an outreach crusade in the Chatsworth Stadium. In this city of over 2 million people there are 1 million Indians, plus the Black and white African communities. Please believe God with me for an outstanding expression of the love of God in healing power.

The day sessions will include workshops and teaching about church planting, church administration, evangelism in 21st century, mission challenges in a pluralistic world, Christianity vs. world religions, developing an effective music ministry, establishing outreaches in schools and universities, etc.

Each night, one person who significantly contributed for the spread of the Gospel among Indians will be honored.

It is good news to know that we can contribute to India's emerging roll in God's plan to touch the nations in this generation.

We must remember that the Indian church has more cross cultural missionaries than any other nation in the world.

We need to take this moment to raise the call for influence and that India shall rise with Apostolic Authority in this era to the ends of the world. The Global Indian Conference in Durban will gives us this opportunity.

Kenya
I will proceed from South Africa to Kenya for a Leadership Conference and the Graduation ceremonies of Christian Life International Bible College.

We are expecting 3000 to 5000 delegates in the Conference. Three quarters of these delegates are expected to be five-fold ministry ministers.

We have students from at least 90 different Christian organizations and from every province of Kenya and beyond and we are expecting delegates from all these areas.

This will be an opportunity to speak to the nation. Janice will join me as one of the speakers in this conference. Her rich ministry in the world and prayer will be a great blessing. Please be praying with us for the Lord to give us a word in season.

Democratic Republic of the Congo
After the meetings in Kenya I will proceed to the Democratic Republic of Congo and meet with our team from Kinshasa and across the DRC. Because we have the most extensive Bible College Training in the nation there is much work and responsibility. There are many areas that are asking for extensions of our Bible College and we will work on a strategy to continue our expansion into this nation. Also, the students in the region will gather for special ministry.

Republic of the Congo
After our time in the DRC I will proceed to Brazzaville for a Leadership Conference held in the People's Palace (the national Parliament). We are expecting around 2500 ministers in this conference.

Over the last 12 years God brought a great revival and harvest to this nation, especially in the Brazzaville region. There were 6 evangelical churches emerging from the underground when we came for our first crusade after communism fell. Today there are over 600 revival churches in Brazzaville alone.

With all the new churches and new workers there is a need to mature the leadership and develop the training so that the churches can disciple their people effectively.

This will involve the development of new ministries to youth, children, marriage and family, career development, and many others arenas to make the church effective in its impact upon the lifestyles of the nation.

Please pray with us for the wisdom of the Lord in preparing this great church for the future of the nation.
