100 YEAR CELEBRATION OF PENTECOST IN INDIA
It was a great joy and privilege for me to return to India to minister the Crusade and Leadership Conference on the great occasion of the Centennial of Pentecost in India. The meetings were held in the city where Pentecost took root in Tiruvalla, India.
We had a wonderful time in the meetings. The Chief Minister of the State, Oommen Chandy opened the celebration. Various political and Christian leaders greeted the crowd throughout the week, including Mayors, Members of Parliament, and the District Superintendent of Police.
Throughout the week I met with various leaders and friends that had come from all over the nation of India. Over and over again I was told that our ministry had plowed the nation and brought it to the turning point when there was nothing. Many leaders told me that their lives were changed as well. Now we are seeing revival in many of these places throughout the land.
In the Crusade each night God moved in powerful ways to demonstrate His love in healing and salvation. Spontaneous dancing and celebration broke out during the week due to the many healings taking place. The Leadership stated that such a miracle flow had never been seen in the area before and they believe a fresh wave of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is beginning to break in the region. Even though this was a celebration of Pentecost many had never seen a miracle flow like in this meeting.
I have included some pictures with this letter to show you some of the wonderful works that the Lord was performing.
After I returned to the United States I received the report that more than 40,000 decisions cards had been received of people giving their lives to Christ. On hundreds of these cards were written testimonies of healings and a desire to be baptized.
Just under 5,000 registered for the Leadership Conference during the day. God moved powerfully in revelation, healing and refreshing of the Holy Spirit during the conference meetings. A wonderful hunger for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit was evidenced as leaders broke from tradition in their reach for the touch of God in these services.
God broke through in the spontaneous healing of a deaf mute while people were being slain in the Spirit. This gathered the leaders in a new openness to the power and moving of the Holy Spirit.
WORLD OUTREACH RETURNS TO TELEVISION IN INDIA
In God's providence during the course of the week I had the privilege one night to dedicate the first all Indian owned Christian television satellite station. It is known as Power Vision TV and is a 24 hour Spirit filled Christian channel. It will be broadcasting in Malayalam, Hindi, and English, beginning February 6, 2006!
What a great victory this is for Christianity in India. What a wonderful opportunity it is to once again minister through television in this region of the world. The satellite footprint will cover all of India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and many other nations in the region. I was asked to provide programming and was able to send programs in English and in Hindi.
As we again begin to broadcast in India I am in need of your best support to meet the production and other associated costs of programming. Thank you in advance for helping to touch this needy part of the world for Jesus.
WORLD OUTREACH RETURNS TO BENIN
Due to a great hunger for a move of God I will be returning to Benin for 2 Crusades and Leadership Conferences. A man that is a friend of the President of the country and a Pastor friend of mine came to Atlanta to secure my return to this least evangelized nation of Western Africa.
The continuing impacts of our ministry in Benin in 2001 have caused these leaders to press for the return of the ministry. I will be in Crusade in the city of Parakou January 25-29 and in the city of Cotonou February 1-5. Please be in prayer with us as we challenge the powers of darkness in this region. Operation World declares, "Benin has Africa's highest percentage of followers of traditional religions and is the least evangelized non-Muslim country in Africa south of the Sahara."
Prayer is vital for these next Crusades. Thank you for your standing with us in prayer for these outreaches.
This year already holds a full schedule and I am accepting more than the year before. I believe that increase is a theme for our ministry. God has always used us as an example of doing a lot with a little. But I believe we will see an increase.
I am asking that as a partner with me you will commit to give in this next year. Will you covenant with me for multiplication and for our return to television? This ministry will touch the many nations of South Asia as well as reaching the Islamic people in the Middle East.
Together as partners in ministry we have a wonderful privilege to greatly impact communities, cities, and nations with the love of Jesus Christ. Your financial help will make this possible. We must continue to meet the expenses of the various Bible Colleges, Orphans, and the costs of conferences and crusades, and television.
I want to encourage you continue to be a part of the ministry of World Outreach as a partner. Please let me hear from you. It will make a real difference. Please pray about what the Lord would have you to do to help.
